A live BBC politics report was interrupted on-air yesterday, as an excitable punter seized his chance for internet fame.

London Politics Editor Tim Donovan was out on the streets of Uxbridge, trying to explain why potential PM Boris Johnson had become less popular recently, when a cheeky teenager leaped into frame behind the reporter and started joining in the newscast.

The teenager, who seems to also be on his phone for the duration, jumps in and out of frame, dodging Donovan as he repeats everything the reporter says. Quickly enough the newsroom thanks Tim and cuts back to the studio, but not before our hero has had his moment in the sun.
