Drake is a busy guy. The little time he has free from cursing sports teams he spends pumping out hit songs and picking up awards for them like it was nobody’s business.

Last night the Canadian rapper made Billboard Music Award (BBMA) history, racking up 12 awards across multiple categories, including top male artist, top streaming songs artist, top rap artist and top Billboard 200 album for Scorpion, as well as seven others.

In his acceptance speech Drake gave thanks to his mom, for her “relentless effort” in helping him succeed. He said: “No matter how long it took me to figure out what I wanted to do, you were always there to give me a ride and now we’re all on one hell of a ride.”

Drake also gave a special shoutout to a certain Game of Thrones character for her stellar effort in the most recent episode. “Hey, shout-out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week,” he said. Arya Stark, portrayed by Maisie Williams, played a prominent role in the epic Battle of Winterfell.

Other winners from last night include Cardi B, who took Top Artist, Ariana Grande, who took Top Female Artist and BTS, who won Top Duo/Group.

Whilst BTS were awarded just one trophy between 7, Drake won 13, almost enough to give each member of BTS two.

Immediately after the ceremony, Joe Jonas, who performed with his Jonas Brothers, married Game of Thrones star and elder Stark sister Sophie Turner. Their wedding took place at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the Vegas strip, in a ceremony presided over by an Elvis impersonator .
